Are these Workshops Suitable for Beginners?

Yes! Our Make & Take Workshops are beginner-friendly and perfect if you’ve never used a sewing machine before.

We guide you step-by-step through the process, teaching the specific skills needed to sew the project you booked.

Our instructors support you throughout the workshop, so you can relax, enjoy the process, and leave with a finished ‘Made By Me’ handmade project.

Everything You Need to Know

  • ‘Make & Take Workshops’ are one-off sewing workshops designed for anyone wanting to try sewing in a fun, creative environment.

    Whether you're a complete beginner or have some experience, these hands-on workshops guide you through sewing a small project in just a few hours.

  • All sewing machines, equipment, and fabric are provided, making the experience easy and stress-free.

    During the session you can also enjoy tea, coffee, and cold drinks from the fridge, provided for your comfort while you sew.

  • Our expert instructors will guide you through your sewing project step-by-step.

    You’ll learn the specific sewing skills needed to complete your project, including the basics of using the sewing machine. We keep the learning focused and practical so you won’t feel overwhelmed.

    Along the way, you’ll also pick up useful techniques, tips, and tricks to help build your confidence as you sew.

  • In this workshop you will sew the specific project you booked in for, as shown above. Our instructors will guide you step-by-step so you can complete your project and take home something you made yourself.

  • Just bring yourself!
    All materials and equipment are provided.

  • Make & Take workshops typically run for 2.5 hours, giving you enough time to learn new skills and complete your project.

  • Absolutely! Many people attend with friends, family members, or colleagues. It's a fun and creative way to spend time together.

  • Our projects are designed to be completed during the workshop. If you need a little extra time, our instructors can help you finish up or show you how to complete the final steps at home. You’re always welcome to ‘hire a sewing station’ at a time that suits.

  • If you are unable to attend, please cancel through the link on your confirmation email. Alternatively, contact us as soon as possible.

    Cancellations within 24 hours, including no-shows, are non-refundable.
    Cancellations made more than 24 hours prior are eligible for a full refund.
