Location: St Andrews Church, 80 Mutu Street, Te Awamutu.
Level: This workshop does not include learning how to operate a sewing machine. If you are comfortable threading, sewing straight lines, and piecing fabric together then this is ideal for you.
14yrs + (under 16yrs must be accompanied by a participating adult).
This workshop is all about replacing disposable kitchen products with reusable ones. We will support and guide you through the process of sewing each item, you have the option to make multiple of one, or a range of items…think bowl covers, produce bags, cutlery holders, dish cloths and more.
What to bring:
Cotton or linen textiles to reuse
All tools, equipment and some fabric is provided. You’ll also get a cuppa and afternoon tea.

14yrs + (under 16yrs must be accompanied by a participating adult).
This workshop is all about learning simple and effective ways to reuse fabric, helping to keep it out of landfill, plus you get a stash of heat packs for the winter to come.
What to bring:
Cotton or linen textiles to reuse
All tools, equipment and some fabric is provided. You’ll also get a cuppa and morning tea.
Location: Top Deck Cafe, 101 Great South Road, Ōhaupō.
Level: This workshop is completely beginner friendly and teaches you basic machine skills.
14yrs + (under 16yrs must be accompanied by a participating adult).
This workshop is all about learning to sew and finding simple and effective ways to reuse fabric. You will also get to leave with your own toiletry pouch to re-use over and over again!
What to bring:
Wash cloth/hand towel
All tools, equipment and some fabric is provided. Incl. a drink from the cafe.
