Location: Sip & Sew Workshops
Level: This workshop does not include learning how to operate a sewing machine. If you’re already comfortable using a machine, you’re welcome to use ours. If you're not comfortable using a sewing machine, you’re still very welcome to attend - just be prepared to mend and repair using hand-sewing techniques, which is perfect for many types of mending.
14yrs + (under 16yrs must be accompanied by a participating adult).
This workshop is all about learning simple and effective ways to repair and mend your everyday clothing.
Bring along garments that need a little love - stains, small holes, snags in jumpers, or areas you’d like to reinforce or visibly mend. We’ll focus on practical techniques that extend the life of your clothes, from subtle fixes to creative visible mending.
This workshop is best suited to those who want to learn how to mend, rather than altering or hemming.
What to bring:
Clothing items you’d like to mend
Clothing with seams coming apart
Clothing with stains you’d like to creatively cover
Clothing with holes or snags
All tools and equipment is provided, including cold drinks, tea and coffee.
