Sewing Workshops

Term 3 school holiday dates:
Week 1: Monday 28th September - Friday 2nd October
Week 2: Monday 5th October - Friday 9th October
Mornings - 9:30am - 12:30pm
Afternoons - 1:00pm - 4:00pm
These workshops are always led by a trained/registered primary school teacher, and sometimes a skilled assistant as well. You can be sure that your child will leave feeling successful and filled with loads of learning.
Included in all kids workshops: All fabric, tools and equipment, as well as a hot chocolate and biscuits.

NEW Open Studio for Kids & Teens (Ages 8–16)
Self-Led Sewing, Creative Freedom & Space to Experiment
For young makers who already knows their way around a sewing machine! Our brand-new Open Studio sessions are designed just for them!
These are unstructured sessions in our creative space where independent young sewers get full access to our equipment, fabric stash, notions, and tools to bring their own ideas to life. Whether they want to sew from a simple pattern, experiment with up-cycling, play with new techniques, or simply enjoy dedicated time to make mistakes and figure things out, the studio is theirs to explore.
There are no step-by-step instructions here. They may walk away with a completed project, or they might leave mid-experiment having learned a whole new skill. It’s entirely self-led, with our experienced sewing facilitators on hand to offer guidance, troubleshooting, and support whenever they need a little extra.
How It Works
Who it’s for: Independent young sewers aged 8–16 who can thread and operate a sewing machine safely on their own.
What’s included: Access to our machines, cutting tables, irons, specialty tools, and general studio fabrics/notions.
What to bring: Kids are welcome to bring their own specific fabrics, patterns, or work-in-progress projects from home or simply dive into our studio resources!
Session Times & Snacks
We offer flexible half-day blocks, or you can stack them for a full day of uninterrupted making:
Morning Session: 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Afternoon Session: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Full-Day Stay (Book Both Sessions): Stay through the 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM lunch bridge at no extra charge! Just bring a packed lunch, and they can relax in the studio between sessions.
Bonus Snacks: Every morning and afternoon session includes a cozy hot chocolate and a biscuit break to recharge those creative batteries!
Spaces are kept small to keep the studio environment relaxed and spacious.
